The BioIndustry Association (BIA) and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) invite you to save the date for their joint workshop on strategic options for expediting clinical research.
Places are limited for this workshop, so please register your interest now* - complete information will follow shortly.
Drug development is a complex and challenging area of medicine, with many ethical, scientific and regulatory challenges. Progress relies on good dialogue between academic centres, clinicians, funders, regulators and the life sciences industry. Despite progress, many barriers to clinical research remain. You are invited to participate in a joint networking/workshop style meeting to discuss possible options to remove barriers and to facilitate expedited clinical research for the benefit of patients.
At the meeting we will discuss recent developments in clinical trial regulations, infrastructure, methods, and ethics. We will identify what road blocks to drug development, and particularly clinical research, remain and consider strategic options to facilitate expedited clinical research. We will look at the regulations and guidelines in place, to propose initiatives to help with expediting medicines development and how these can be made more widely known and available. In particular we will highlight recent innovations enabling efficient clinical research to facilitate early access to promising medicines.
If this workshop is of interest, please save the date and register your expression of interest now*.
